Privacy Policy
Effective 1 November 2026
RAISE-Me is an AI tutor. To teach you, we keep your account details, the work you do and the questions you ask, and we send your lessons to the AI companies that generate the tutor’s replies. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising. You can ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to delete it, at any time. This summary is not a substitute for the sections below.
1.Who we are
RAISE-Me is a service provided by D-Ready, based in the United Kingdom. D-Ready determines why and how personal information is used in connection with the service and is the controller of it.
Where an employer, college or training provider has enrolled you on a programme, that organisation decides what you are asked to learn and can see your progress on its own programme. For those purposes, the organisation is the controller and we act on its instructions. This policy describes what we do as controller.
You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@d-ready.co.uk.
2.Information we collect
Account information. Your email address, a password stored only as an irreversible hash, your display name, and the country and language you select. If you sign in with Google, we receive from Google your account identifier, name, email address and profile picture.
Learning records. The courses and sessions you join, your progress, your answers to checks and quizzes, the written work you submit, the questions you ask during a lesson, and the topics recorded as mastered.
Tutoring conversations. What you type to the tutor and what it replies. In spoken lessons, your microphone audio is streamed to our voice supplier while the lesson is running so that it can be transcribed and answered.
Teaching preferences. After some sessions the system records a short note about the teaching approach that appears to work for you, and uses it in later lessons. It is derived from the text of your conversation. We do not analyse your face, and we do not analyse the emotional content of your voice.
Occupational information, where you provide it. If you choose personalised learning you may tell us your field of work, your sector and your role, so that examples and practice tasks are drawn from them. This is optional. Generic learning is available on every plan and nothing is inferred if you leave it blank.
Curriculum vitae, if you upload one.If you use “Use my resume” we extract your field of work, sector and role from the file, present them to you for correction, and then discard the file. The contents of your CV are not stored and are not used for any other purpose.
Technical information. Server logs, which include your IP address, and records of sign-in attempts used to detect and prevent unauthorised access.
Billing information. Your plan and subscription status. Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe and are never received or stored by us.
We do not request special category data, such as information about health, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation, and you should not provide it.
3.How we use it
We use personal information to:
- create and administer your account;
- deliver lessons, generate assessments and practice tasks, and answer the questions you ask;
- record your progress and issue certificates of completion;
- adapt teaching to you, where you have chosen personalised learning;
- take payment and manage subscriptions;
- keep the service secure, detect misuse, and diagnose and fix faults;
- communicate with you about your account, such as sign-in codes and password resets.
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not profile you for any purpose other than teaching you.
4.Legal bases
Performance of a contract. Administering your account, delivering lessons, recording progress, issuing certificates and taking payment. We cannot provide the service without processing this information.
Legitimate interests. Keeping the service secure, preventing misuse of paid features, diagnosing faults and improving the product. We have considered these interests against your rights and you may object at any time, as described in section 9.
Consent. Optional features you choose to enable, including personalised learning, spoken lessons, the talking face and uploading a CV. You may withdraw consent by disabling the feature or by contacting us; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.
Legal obligation. Records we are required to retain, including those relating to payments and tax.
5.Artificial intelligence
RAISE-Me is built on AI systems operated by the suppliers listed in section 6. The text you write, and in spoken lessons the audio you speak, is transmitted to those suppliers so that the tutor can respond. Our agreements with them restrict use of that content to providing the service to us, and do not permit them to use it to train their own models.
Please do not enter confidential information. Do not type passwords, patient or client records, commercially confidential material, or personal information about other people into the tutor. Nothing technically prevents you from doing so, so this is a request and not a safeguard.
Replaying a lesson involves no AI call. The board, the words and the voice of an approved lesson are produced and approved in advance. Watching a lesson transmits nothing to any AI supplier. AI is used when you ask a question, when an assessment or practice task is generated for you, during spoken lessons, and when the talking face is enabled.
The tutor’s face and voice are synthetic.They are generated by software. Where a face resembles a real tutor it is used with that person’s agreement, and it remains synthetic: it is not a recording of them speaking those words.
7.International transfers
Our servers and database are located in the United States, in Google Cloud’s us-central1 region. Several of the suppliers listed in section 6 are also established in the United States.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, this means your personal information is transferred outside your jurisdiction. Those transfers are made under the safeguards provided for in applicable data protection law, which for our suppliers means standard contractual clauses, together with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where it applies, or an adequacy decision where one covers the recipient.
You may request details of the safeguards applying to any particular supplier by contacting us.
8.Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account remains open and you use the service.
Deletion on request. If you ask us to delete your account and the personal information associated with it, we will do so within 30 days of verifying your request. Deletion is actioned by our team following a request to info@d-ready.co.uk; there is no self-service deletion control in the product at present.
What is retained after deletion. Records of payments are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep them. Where a certificate has been issued and can be verified by a third party, the verification record is retained so that the certificate does not silently stop being verifiable; it contains the certificate reference and the fact of completion.
9.Your rights
Subject to the conditions in applicable data protection law, you have the right to be informed about how your information is used, to access it, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have it erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability, to object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests, and rights in relation to automated decision making as described in section 10. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@d-ready.co.uk. We will respond within one month. We may ask you to verify your identity before we act, so that we do not disclose your information to someone else. There is no charge.
10.Automated decisions
RAISE-Me marks your work and determines which topic you are taught next without human intervention in the ordinary course. This includes marking quizzes and short written answers, scoring practice attempts, and recording a topic as mastered. Where a certificate of completion is issued, the underlying assessment was automated.
These decisions do not restrict your access to education, employment, credit or any other service, and they do not produce legal effects. A result recorded by RAISE-Me is a record of work completed on this platform and nothing more. It is not a regulated qualification and it is not accredited by an awarding body.
If you think a result is wrong, email info@d-ready.co.uk. A member of our team will review the assessment, you may put your point of view, and we will correct the record where the result was wrong.
The lesson itself is written and approved by a human tutor before any learner is taught it. No learner is taught material that no person has approved.
11.Children
RAISE-Me is intended for adults. You must be 18 or over to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and if we become aware that we have done so we will delete it. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us.
Where a school or college wishes to enrol learners under 18, that must be arranged with us in advance so that appropriate agreements and protections are put in place first.
12.Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. Passwords are stored only as irreversible hashes. Traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted. Access to production systems is restricted to those who need it. Sign-in attempts are rate limited, sessions can be revoked, and payment card details are never received by our servers.
No service can guarantee that it will never be compromised. If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the Information Commissioner’s Office within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, and we will notify you directly where the risk to you is high.
14.Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of this page records when the current version took effect. Where a change materially affects how we use your personal information, we will notify you before it takes effect.
15.Contact and complaints
Write to us at info@d-ready.co.uk. We would prefer to resolve a concern directly, but you do not have to come to us first.
You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the United Kingdom’s supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. If you are in the European Economic Area, you may instead complain to the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
